Installation

Build mangowc from the AUR git package and apply the Sexygirl rice on Arch Linux.

1. Build mangowc

mangowc is not in the official repos — build the git package (trizen/yay/paru):

trizen -S mangowc-git

The PKGBUILD pulls in wlroots 0.19, scenefx 0.4, wayland, libinput, libdrm, pixman, libxkbcommon, pcre2, libxcb and xorg-xwayland.

2. Runtime companions (the rice)

3. Install the Sexygirl config

cp -r configs/mango ~/.config/
chmod +x ~/.config/mango/scripts/screenshot.sh
chmod +x ~/.config/mango/rofi/powermenu.sh

4. The two lines that make the fleet consistent

mango defaults to 9 tags. The rice runs 12, same as every other compositor in the fleet:

tag_num=12
no_border_when_single=0

5. Waybar workspaces

The bar uses the native ext-workspace-v1 module. Empty tags are advertised but marked hidden, so the bar needs both:

"ignore-hidden": false
"persistent-workspaces": { "1": [] ... "12": [] }

6. Rofi 2.0 backdrop

Rofi 2.0 only accepts the new image syntax, and the backdrop must match the window box exactly (650x800) or it tiles:

7. Log in

Pick the mango session from SDDM. The bar, the wallpaper and all twelve pills come up together.
